Over the years and by learning through experience I have come to the conclusion: there are three important factors that determine if a commission is worthwhile going for.
1. That it's an interesting project that you can learn from and get excited about.
Does it comply with your values?
2. That the pay is good and fair - be sure to consider how much time and energy will go into
the creative process
3. That the team or client you'll work with is competent, fun, reliable and inspiring.
In my opinion, at least two of the three points above should be covered, otherwise it can be a pretty frustrating experience - see graph above! What's your opinion about this and what experiences have you made? Would love to read you input.
